Plastomer combines chemical ingredients in-house to formulate its own foams to meet specific customer requirements and properties, such as firmness/softness, air restriction, water resistance, heat resistance, acoustic properties, biocide additives, flame retardance, and more.

The liquid formulation transforms into large foam buns under sophisticated process monitoring that assures achievement of the required properties. When Urethane Foams are not the material of choice, Plastomer obtains the desired material from any of a number of partners selected for quality, cost, availability, and delivery.

The buns are split into sheets that are the precise thickness of the customer product to be produced. Rubber and other materials are likewise split into sheets of exacting thicknesses and then sent on for adhesive lamination or direct to finished fabrication.

To add the pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) package to the material, Plastomer maintains its own wet lamination processes in-house, thereby assuring the quality of the final product. In cases where it is advisable, we will purchase and use dry high performance adhesive systems that likewise achieve desirable customer bonding capabilities.

Finished parts are created by compressing the sheets of material underneath razor sharp tools that are made and maintained on-site.
